Our History

CEB for Designs and Engineering Consultations was founded in 1992 by Dr. Eng. Ali Abdelzaher El-Khateeb, to fulfill his dream of contributing to the development of new Egyptian urban communities by combining contemporary Arab art with the latest in architecture technology. The office was established in Assiut in southern Egypt, which includes the most wonderful designs of the ancient Egyptians. Another branch was then established in Cairo, the city of ancient and modern architectural design arts and great architectural monuments.

With more than 30 consulting engineers in each and every engineering field, the bureau’s activity has expanded in a few years. These fields included “facilities – roads – constructions – urban planning – bridges – tunnels”. Besides, CEB has significantly contributed to urban planning which qualifies it to be a multi-disciplinary engineering house of expertise.

Over almost 30 years, CEB has developed hundreds of different architectural projects and supervised the construction of private and governmental entities of various fields and sizes across the country. The bureau has undertaken numerous designs and oversighted the implementation of various facilities, roads, and landscape projects. This was in addition to hundreds of residential, commercial, administrative, and medical facilities.

Whilst managing a high volume of workload, CEB has been and will always be interested in enhancing its employees’ performance. With around 300 engineers and supervisors, the bureau managed to provide training and continuous support for its working cadres and educate them about the latest technologies used in the engineering field.  This resulted in keeping pace with the development witnessed by the construction sector and increasing the employees’ efficiency.

It’s noteworthy that CEB is registered with the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate. Currently, the bureau seeks to become a house of expertise, taking into account that Egypt has a very limited number of specialized houses of expertise. In addition to its pursuit of ISO certification in design quality and supervision.
